Q: What do the package sizes S, S plus, M, L and XL mean?

A: The packages are grouped according to the number of genes to be analysed. The prices for the packages are grouped accordingly, S having the lowest price and XL the highest.

XL = more than 1,500 genes

Q: What is the difference between a custom Array-to-Go and a ready compilation?

A: A custom Array-to-Go design will be compiled based on your gene wish list. It can be developed for any species. The compilations already contain all relevant genes of a specific research area.

Q: How do I know if there is a preconfigured compilation for my species?

A: We currently offer preconfigured compilations for human, mouse and rat, which can be found in the Species section of this website. Preconfigured compilations for further species will follow.

Q: I am not sure which Array-to-Go is most suitable for my research. Can I review the gene list?

A: Yes, please send us an e-mail to sales@oak-labs.com stating the compilation you are interested in.

Q: Can I buy Array-to-Go and run it in my own lab?

A: Currently, Array-to-Go is available only as a comprehensive service package, starting from 100ng total RNA to statistically analysed data.

Q: How sensitive is Array-to-Go compared to RT-qPCR?

A: Array-to-Go was developed to compete with RT-qPCR in terms of sensitivity. The default amount of 100ng total RNA results in the same sensitivity as an RT-qPCR panel achieved from 500ng. Therefore, significantly less total RNA is required to detect lowly expressed genes.

Q: I used qPCR panels in the past, why should I use Array-to-Go instead?

A: With qPCR panels you analyse a very limited number of genes related to certain diseases, biological processes or pathways. Array-to-Go allows you to access the expression of all genes of your interest - sensitively and at a competitive pricing.

Q: When should I use Array-to-Go rather than ArrayXS?

A: If you already know which genes are of importance for your study, e.g. the genes related to certain diseases, biological functions or pathways, Array-to-Go is the best choice in terms of cost-efficiency and sensitivity. With Array-to-Go you focus your analysis on up to 2,000 genes of your interest rather than getting overwhelmed by genome-wide transcriptome data. Q: Is Array-to-Go compatible with your single cell protocol?

A: Yes, Array-to-Go is compatible with our single cell protocol from 10 cells collected in a buffer provided by OakLabs. Please state an interest in our single cell service in your quote request.

Q: Is there a minimum number of samples I need to order?

A: The minimum number of samples for the preconfigured compilations of human, mouse and rat is 8. The minimum number of samles for all other species is 24, for S format it is 30.

Q: How do I place an order?

A: You can either use on of the Request Order forms on this page or send us an e-mail to sales@oak-labs.com stating your species, number of samples you would like to submit and the compilation you are interested in. Alternatively, you can send us a your gene wish list as a fasta file or text file with target IDs. After receiving your personal quote, you can accept it by fax or email.

Array-to-Go meets RT-qPCR's sensitivity

Array-to-Go was developed towards highest sensitivity, to compete with qPCR. In our Array-to-Go service, a proprietary lab protocol is perfectly aligned to a proven probe design. Each Array-to-Go is compiled of the best performing probe for each gene that underwent a strict selection procedure.
